samba のインストール

まずは、

emerge samba -Dpv

してみて、必要な依存パッケージや samba の USE フラグを確認。今回は、samba の"swat"と"syslog"フラグをオンにする。

emerge samba -D
rc-update add samba default

でインストール。

しかし、このままでは /etc/init.d/samba start してみても、サンプルの設定ファイルしかないため、まだ使えません。サンプルの設定ファイルを参考に、設定ファイルを作成する。

nano -w /etc/samba/smb.conf

これでめでたしめでたし。。。と言いたいところだが（笑）、心当たりを設定してみても、samba は起動するものの、Windows 機からの接続が上手くできない。

そこで SWAT を使用することとし、USE フラグに"swat" "xinetd" をオンにして再コンパイル。

……結局解決できず。

そこで、こちらのページを参考に、SWAT を使わず、smb.conf の以下を設定。

[global]
security = USER
encrypt passwords = yes
passdb backend = smbpasswd

その後、以下の手順でユーザーを追加

smbpasswd -a hoge
pdbedit -L hoge:1000: ※ 作成されたユーザーの確認

が、ワークグループ内に見えている Linux 機のアイコンをダブルクリックしても「プロシージャ番号が正しい範囲にありません。」とエラーメッセージが表示されて、中に入れない。。。

と思ったら、マイコンピュータからの「ネットワークドライブの割り当て」を行うと、すんなりネットワークドライブが作成され、問題なく使える 。

いったい何なんだ～!!
